Entrepreneurship at its most basic level is about starting something new. Whether it be a business, non-profit, or trying to make an idea something tangible, entrepreneurs are about innovation and exploration. Entrepreneurship can be divided into three main categories: Political Entrepreneurship, Economic Entrepreneurship, and Social Entrepreneurship.
My experience with entrepreneurship comes more from a classroom than business experience. Summer of 2015 I attended a brief Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship class at New York University’s High School Academy. Here I met with different social entrepreneurs, visited NYU’s start-up incubator, and presented my own social enterprise idea at the end of the program. I also attended the Marketing a Start Up six week night class at the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Davidson College fall of 2019. I find entrepreneurship fascinating, exciting, and the future of creativity. As much as I love studying entrepreneurship, I cannot wait to participate in the entrepreneurial world!
